The Writer’s Vow is a dark romance memoir about self-deception spanning 40 years and two continents. Married, widowed, divorced. Mistress, married, escaped. Common-law partner forced out of home. Here are the things I did for love, some wise, some not. As a therapist I know that self-love is the most difficult of tasks. Think of SIX The Musical told as one woman’s story or a true telling of the novel NESTING. It was the desire to write that infused me with the courage to free myself from the illusion that binds so many women in relationship to men.
Word by word I claimed my power.

A woman must understand what in her is attracting the experience she is in if she wants to change it. This is the counter-balance required to overcome the tendency she has to blame men, money and world misery as the cause of her suffering for she is caught in her own illusion. Freedom comes when she learns to respond from her feminine instinct rather than react in defense of her perceived powerlessness. For a woman's life is her very own creation.
Being wife is not a vocation. Being mother is not a vocation.
We live in a Mothering Multiverse and we all must make our way in right relationship to Mother. How we find that way is our vocation.
