The Writer's Vow

The Writer's Vow is a memoir about how writing saved my life. It sounds dramatic (it is) but at its core is a revelatory idea about feminine power. I am an ordinary woman who has had extraordinary experience in love affairs with men. But reader, I left them!

A woman must understand what in her is attracting the experience she is in if she wants to change it, rather than blame men, money, and inequality as the cause of her rage and suffering.

This is the story of how I discovered I was caught in my own illusion. Here are the things I did for love, some wise, some not, but wise commitments do not bind us, they free us. My mother never told me the cure for heartache. I had to learn in relationship to men I loved. And writing saved my life, literally!
